Moreover, at that time, many domestic enterprises were not paying much attention to quality, and it was difficult to guarantee the final reliability of the pump products.

Richard Wang ordered the whole company to stop the current work and self-examine all internal products. After rigorous simulation and deduction verification, the cause of the 12v water pump leakage was finally found out:

1. The structural design of the water pump is not completely reasonable, and the size of the sealing ring is relatively too small under high pressure;

2. The carbon dioxide in the carbonated beverage machine first passes through and generates gas instantly, resulting in an instantaneous pressure of up to 10 bar. The plastic material of the water pump is not enough to consider the pressure, and the injection molding process needs to be further strictly controlled.

3. The manager of TOPSFLO Overseas Business Department took the initiative to contact the American customer to communicate the solution. The positive and sincere improvement attitude impressed the American customer. The engineer of the American customer took the initiative to customize a batch of sealing rings locally, and installed them on TOPSFLO pumps for continued use. TOPSFLO, on the other hand, took the initiative to assume the responsibility, and compensated customers with 30% of the total value of the goods as maintenance and lost work expenses.

Although the problem of American customers has been solved, it touched Richard Wang deeply. How to improve the design of the pump, optimize the internal process of the enterprise, and prevent this kind of mistake from being repeated is the driving force for TOPSFLO to move forward.

Based on the problems encountered by American customers, the company has comprehensively reformed and improved production and testing standards. All plastic raw materials are imported from Japan, and no recycled materials are used (this has always been the only one in the industry). All plastic parts must pass the actual water sampling test with a burst pressure of 28bar, high and low temperature sampling tests, and all finished products must pass a 100% water comprehensive test, 100% air tightness test that is more than twice the industry standard, 100% aging test, etc., only qualified products that have completely passed can be provided to customers.

Some people in the company objected that all raw materials are imported from Japan and do not use any recycled materials. This alone will increase a lot of costs, and it will require a lot of manpower to do various tests, and it will not directly bring economic benefits. At present, no micro-pump company has done so.

On the other hand, Richard Wang tried his best to push forward the reform of raw materials and the model of full inspection of products. In terms of working principles, Richard Wang is strong, but in private, he gently enlightened his employees more than once: creating value for customers is the meaning of brand existence.
